Glutathione
Your body's master antioxidant and #1 detox molecule. It clears the oxidative stress ("the rust") that drives aging, powers your liver's deep-detox phase, and brightens skin. As one doc puts it: "if this molecule fails, nothing else works."
Your starting dose
3× a week (e.g. Mon / Wed / Fri)
01The protocolHow to mix it, how much to draw, and how long a vial lasts.
The numbers
Vial1500 mg
Mix with5 mL BAC water → makes 300 mg per mL (so 1 unit = 3 mg)
Dose200 to 500 mg = 67 to 167 units
Frequency3× a week (e.g. Mon / Wed / Fri)
Cycle6 weeks on → 4 weeks off → repeat
WhenFasted, 2 hours after your last meal. Under the skin (SubQ) or into muscle (IM)
Units made simple: your insulin syringe is marked 0 to 100, that whole line = 1 mL = 300 mg. So draw to ~67 for a 200 mg dose. A full 500 mg is more than one syringe (~1.7 mL), most people start on the low end and split higher doses, or run them IM. New to this? Start at 200 mg.
How long one bottle lasts
At 200 mg 67u~7 doses per vial → about 2.5 weeks at 3×/week
At 300 mg 100u~5 doses per vial → under 2 weeks
At 500 mg 167u~3 doses per vial → about 1 week
One 1500 mg vial = 500 units total. A full 6-week cycle (18 injections) runs roughly 3 vials at a moderate dose, grab enough to finish the cycle.
02What it doesWhat you get, how it does it, and what to know before you run it.
What it actually does
Master antioxidantNeutralizes the oxidative stress ("the rust") that drives aging and cellular wear-and-tear. It's the most abundant antioxidant your cells make, the root-cause reframe of the whole molecule.
Liver & detoxPowers your liver's phase-2 detox: it grabs fat-soluble toxins and heavy metals and makes them water-soluble so your body can flush them. Your liver holds 7 to 10× more glutathione than anywhere else, it's the detox organ's primary tool.
Recharges other antioxidantsIt regenerates vitamins C and E back to their active forms, the antioxidant that recharges the others.
SkinThe most popular clinical use of injectable glutathione is skin brightening, it shifts melanin production toward a lighter tone. Honest note: the effect is real but modest and reversible (it fades when you stop).
Cellular defenseResearch shows it protects your mitochondria from ROS leak, quiets inflammation, and supports immune function, the base layer under everything else.
How it works
Glutathione is a tiny tripeptide (glutamate–cysteine–glycine), the most abundant antioxidant your own cells make. It hands off an electron to neutralize free radicals, the "rust" behind aging, then gets recycled by NADPH back into active form and does it again. It's a rechargeable battery, not single-use. At the same time it runs your liver's phase-2 detox: it grabs onto fat-soluble toxins and makes them water-soluble so your body can actually flush them out. The catch: it only works if it has its cofactors, especially selenium, which sits at the business end of its main enzyme. Skip the oral pills, less than 3% survives your gut ("throwing dust at a lock"). Injected, it's the gold standard.
What to know before you run it
It's a rechargeable battery. When glutathione neutralizes a free radical it becomes "used up", then an enzyme, powered by NADPH, regenerates it right back to active form. It's not spent after one hit; it cycles over and over, as long as its cofactors are stocked.
Selenium is the ammo. Its key detox enzyme (glutathione peroxidase) literally runs on selenium, it's built into the enzyme's active site. Without selenium, glutathione is "a Glock with no bullets," and most people are marginally deficient without knowing it.
Your liver is the vault. Liver glutathione runs 7 to 10× higher than anywhere else in the body, because that's where the heavy-duty detox happens.
Everyday things drain it. Alcohol, NSAIDs/Tylenol, and chronic stress all burn through your glutathione, and you can't meaningfully buy it back in a pill. That's the case for injecting it (plus NAC to keep the tank topped up).
Oral glutathione is a scam, under 3% is absorbed. Injectable SubQ/IM is the only version worth your money.
It's a cofactor system, not a solo act, without selenium it's "a Glock with no bullets." Magnesium, zinc, B-vitamins, and ALA are all part of the machine.
Know your thieves: alcohol ("the non-toxic amount is zero"), NSAIDs/Tylenol, chronic stress, seed-oil and sugar. Stack NAC to keep refilling the tank.
Amplify it with peptides on other levers: BPC-157 turns up your body's own glutathione supply switch (NRF2); KPV lowers the inflammatory demand so your reserves last.
03How to run itMixing, injecting, what to eat, and what to take alongside it.
Mixing and injecting
Mix: add the 5 mL of BAC water slowly down the side of the vial. Swirl gently, never shake.
Store: in the fridge after mixing. Keep it out of light.
Inject: into belly fat, ~2 inches from your belly button (or IM for larger doses). Pinch, go straight in, push slow. Rotate the spot each time, fresh pin every time.
Your diet
Avoid the thievesAlcohol (it burns through glutathione), Advil / Aleve / Tylenol, and the seed-oil and sugar combo all drain your tank.
Eat cleanA whole-food diet supplies the minerals and B-vitamins glutathione needs to actually work.
Bonus foodsCruciferous veg (broccoli, cauliflower), garlic, and eggs feed your body's own glutathione production.
Take these alongside it
SeleniumNon-negotiable, without it glutathione is "a Glock with no bullets." This is the #1 cofactor.
NACThe precursor that refills your tank, pair it to keep glutathione topped up.
Minerals and B'sMagnesium, zinc, and B6 / B9 / B12, the raw material it can't function without.
ALAAlpha-lipoic acid recycles "used" glutathione back into the active form.
